Explanation:

g(x) =a * b^x.

First we should use the give values to us in the table which are x=0 then g(x) = 12 and if x =1, then g(x) = 2. We should plug in the value where x = 0 since any value to the power of 0 is 1. 12= a *b^0. 12=a *1. Then we will get the value of a which is 12. Then we plug in our second given value to find b. 2 = 12 * b^1. First we will divide both sides by 12 to find b. 2/12 = 1/6. since any value to the power of 1 is itself then b =1/6. Then you will have a = 12. b =1/6 so g(x) = 12(1/6)^x
