Answer:

The required equation is

30+0.15x=15+0.20x

The cost will be same for two companies for 300 miles.

Explanation:

Given that,

The charges of a moving company is $ 30 plus $0.15 per mile to rent a moving van.

The charges of another company is $15 plus $0.20 per mile to rent a same van.

Assume, the charges of both companies will be same after x miles.

For the first company, the charges of x miles is= $(30+0.15x)

For the second company, the charges of x miles is= $(15+0.20x)

Since the charges are same for both companies.

So, the required equation is

30+0.15x=15+0.20x

⇒0.15x-0.20x=15-30

⇒ - 0.05x= -15

\Rightarrow x=(15)/(0.05)

⇒x=300

The cost will be same for two companies for 300 miles.
