To find the slope:

⇒ must know the slope's formula

(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

(x_(1) ,y_(1) ) and
(x_(2) ,y_(2) ) are any points on the line

⇒ we use (-1,2) and (0,5) since they are the only points that we

know that are on the line

  • (x_(1) ,y_(1) ): (-1,2)

  • (x_(2) ,y_(2)): (0,5)

Let's solve:

Slope = (5-2)/(0--1) =(3)/(1)

Slope is 3

Hope that helps!
