x = 10

y = 11

Explanation:

2x + 3y = 53 -----------(i)

3x - y = 19 -------------(ii)

Multiply equation(ii) by 3 and then add. So, y will be eliminated and you can find the value of x

(i) 2x + 3y = 53

(ii)*3 9x - 3y = 57 {Now add}

11x = 110

x = 110/11

x = 10

Plug in the value of x in equation (i)

2*10 + 3y = 53

20 + 3y = 53

3y = 53 - 20

3y = 33

y = 33/3

y = 11
