So the equation given is:
3x^2+x

What do we find: f(-5)

To find f(-5), we must plug '-5' into the equation in place of the 'x'


f(-5) = 3(-5)^2+(-5) = 3 * 25 -5=75-5=70

Answer: f(-5) = 70
