The distance formula says that the distance is
\sqrt{(x_(1)-x_(2))^2-(y_(1)-y_(2))^2}, so basically the difference between xs plus the square of the differences between ys, the whole thing to the power of .5. The difference between the xs is 5 and the difference between the ys is 5, so the answer is sqrt(25+25) = 5sqrt2
