side length of square = 8

perimeter of square = 4*(side length) = 4*8 = 32

perimeter of square = perimeter of circle = circumference = 32 cm

circumference formula is

C = 2pi*r

32 = 2pi*r .... plug in the given circumference

32/(2pi) = (2pi*r)/(2pi) .... divide both sides by 2pi

16/pi = r

r = 16/pi

r = 16/pi = the exact radius in terms of pi

r = 5.092958 = the approximate value of the radius

The units for the radius are in centimeters.

Answer:

Explanation:

Perimeter of square = 4* side

= 4 * 8 = 32 cm

Circumference of circle = Perimeter of square

2πr = 32

2*3.14*r = 32

r = (32)/(2*3.14)\\\\r= 5.09 cm\\
