It gives you the limit as x goes to 7 of an expression. Try to plug in x = 7, and set it equal to the right hand side.
3f(7) + f(7)g(7) = 18
We can replace g(7) with 6
3f(7) + 6f(7) = 18
9f(7) = 18
f(7) = 2
