Answer: x = 2
Explanation:
8(4 - x) = 7x + 2
= 8(-x + 4) = 7x + 2
= -8x + 32 = 7x + 2
= -8x + 32 - 32 = 7x + 2 - 32
= -8x = 7x + 2 - 32
= -8x = 7x = 30
= -8x - 7x = 7x + 30 - 7x
= -15x = 7x - 30 - 7x
= -15x = 30
-15x/-15 = -30/-15
= x = -30/-15
= x = 2
And thats how you get the answer!
