Answer:

President Donald Trump was accused of breaching the Foreign Emolutions Cause by accepting payment from persons representing foreign countries, obstruction of justice and abuse of power.

Step-by-step explanation:

Democrats filed an impeachment charge against President Trump on December 6th 2017 but because the Democrats were in the minority in the House and Senate, the motion failed.

In 2019, the Democrats took majority in the House and Senate and were ready to file another impeachment suit.

In January 2019, there were accusations that President Trump instructed his lawyer, Michael Cohen to lie under oath about Russia's involvement in the 2016 US Elections.

Finally, on 24th September 2019, formal proceedings for President Trump's impeachment were underway as another evidence was brought to light of Trump lobbying the Ukrainian government to investigate Joe Biden's son which was seen as an attempt to hurt Joe Biden's presidential ambitions.

President Trump withheld military aid in an attempt to allegedly force Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden's son. This was seen as using presidential means for personal reasons, so on December 18th, 2019, President Trump was impeached until February 5th, 2020 when he was acquitted by the US Senate.
