There are 12 go-carts and each of the go-carts has 4 tires. If the owner of the go-carts buys 12 spare tires, how many tires are there in total?

12•4+12=60

If there's 12 go-carts with 4 tires each, that's (12 × 4) tires, or 48.

Answer:

If the owner buys 1 spare tire for each go-cart there will be a total of (48 + 12) tires, or 60.
