In the circle below tangent PA and secant PBC have been drawn.if PB=4 and BC=12 then which of the following is the length of tangent PA?

We have PC = PB + BC = 4 + 12 = 16

PA² = PB·PC = 4(16) = 64

PA = 8

Answer: 8
