Explain the impact of the pacific railroad in 1862

Answer:

The Pacific Railroad opened up western frontiers and changed economic life because it brought west closer to east. Most people and goods could travel faster and combined with the telegraph communication across the states became easier. The railroad also threatened the Native American’s way of life.
