Area of a FULL circle is founded by Pi multiplied by radius squared

But, in the figure, a semicircle is shown , so we change the formula so that it become Pi multiplied by radius squared divided by two ( because it is HALF of a circle)

We half the diameter in order to get the radius (44/2 is 22)

Pi multiplied by 22^2 divided by 2

Which is 760.27

Answer:

759.88 square inches

Explanation:

r = (1)/(2)d = (1)/(2) * 44 = 22 \\ \\ area = (1)/(2) \pi \: {r}^(2) \\ area = (1)/(2) * 3.14 * 22 * 22 \\ area = 759.88 \: square \: inches
