Let’s do the second option: America before the war did not rely heavily on automotives for a strategic move, after WWI started mass production of new airplanes and ground vehicles were needed to help support the movement of troops and air support. Because of this it eventually led to America finding ways to produce these vehicles. This all led to it creating a new powerful industry which also helped come to the modern day car and modern day plane
