Answer:

answer is D

Explanation:

p is how many packages were purchased.

c is how much it all cost

and the shipment fee is $6 and each package is $12.45. Nice

Let formulate our equation.

the total cost is the sum of the shipment fee and the total price of packages. Put into numerical and algebraic is:

c = 6+(12.45)p

we then make p the subject

c-(12.45)p = 6

-(12.45)p = 6-c

(12.45)p = c-6

p = (c-6)/12.45

this also means that:

how many packages I bought can be found by first:

taking out the shipment fee from the total:

c-6

Now that we have the price of the packages only. We can find how many packages by dividing the total price by how much the package cost.

(c-6)/12.45

therefore p = (c-6)/12.45
