Answer:

y= 2x+7

Explanation:

Since the line is parallel to y = 2x - 8 it has slope m= 2

The equation of the line passing through (-4,-1) is given by,

(y - ( - 1))/(x - ( - 4)) = m

(y + 1)/(x + 4) = 2

y + 1 = 2(x + 4)

y + 1 = 2x + 8

y = 2x + 8 - 1

y = 2x + 7
