Answer:

Correct answer: 1) A = 11.13 ft² ; 2) A = 10 km² ; 3) h = 9 mi ; 4) h = 1.5 mi

Explanation:

Given:

1) a = 5.3 ft and h = 2.1 ft , A = ?

2) a = 5 km and h = 2 km , A = ?

3) a = 12 mi and A = 108 mi² , h = ?

4) a = 3 mi and A 4.5 mi² , h = ?

All figures given are parallelograms.

The formula for calculating the area of a parallelogram is:

A = a · h

1) A = 5.3 · 2.1 = 11.13 ft²

A = 11.13 ft²

2) A = 5 · 2 = 10 km²

A = 10 km²

3) h = A / a = 108 / 12 = 9 mi

h = 9 mi

4) h = A / a = 4.5 / 3 = 1.5 mi

h = 1.5 mi

God is with you!!!
