6x + 2 = 9x - 4

6x + 2 = 9x - 4
6x + 2 -6x = 9x - 4 - 6x
2 = 3x - 4
2 + 4 = 3x - 4 + 4
6 = 3x
6/3 = 3x/3
x = 2
