This is a ratio question.

Say the ratio is object : shadow. Then, the person and their shadow is

5 : 4

If the shadow is 20, then the ratio is

flagpole : 20

How do you go from 4 to 20? You multiply by 5. So, if we multiply the person's height by 5, we'll get the height of the flagpole.

5 * 5 = 25 feet
