If having the correct number of copies of each chromosome is so important, how is it possible that both female (with two copies of the X chromosome per cell) and male (with only one copy of the X chromosome per cell) individuals are phenotypically normal?

Answer:

Simple for females those two are the exact same which is why some men suffer from more genetic diseases than women because men only have 1 X chromosome to receive that disease as the Y can hardly hold any information they have the same amount hit females have an extra set so to speak
