Why do poets use poetic devices?

Answer: Well poetic devices are tools that poets can use to enhance a poem's meaning, create rhythm, or intensify a mood or feeling to the reader. The devices " help piece" the poem together, kinda like a screwdriver with some screws, that join peaces of wood together.

Poetic devices are unique styles used in poem writing formats. However they can be used out side of poem writing pieces. They engage the reader by offering a variety of different moments within the writing. They enhancing the writing as well, by providing a flow into the writing.
