Write an expression equivalent to 6 - 2x + 5 + 4x that only has two terms.

Answer:

11 + 2x

Explanation:

In algebra, like terms are terms that have the same variables (letter after the number). Like terms can be combined for example the 6 and 5 have the same variable (none) so they can be combined. IMPORTANT! While we do combine the 2x and the 4x since the 2x came after a minus sign we consider it a negative, so -2x + 4x (or 4x - 2x) is 2x NOT 6x
