Imagine that you are a 1st year Gryffindor student. You are very shy and you’ve always had trouble making friends. You are sitting in the common room and you overhear Harry and Ron talking about sneaking out after bedtime. You think that Harry and Ron seem like popular kids and you want to be their friend. However, you also know that Hogwarts professors are strict and that sneaking out can lose points for Gryffindor. What would you do?"

I'd be a sort of lookout for them, helping in any way I could. Maybe I could eventually become one of their close friends. With actual freaking Magic I could pull off all sorts of shennanigans to keep the teachers away.
