Answer:

3a + b = 7

6x + 8y = 40

9a + 3b is 3*(3a + b) or 7*3 = 21

3x + 4y is (6x + 8y) /3 = 40 / 3 ≅ 13.3

So now we know that 9a + 3b = 21 and 3x + 4y = 13.3 which means that it is greater because 21 > 13.3
