Answer:
x=8

Simplify both sides of the equation

2x+18+-1=33

(2x)+(18+-1)=33(Combine Like Terms)

2x+17=33

Subtract 17 from both sides

2x+17-17=33-17\\2x=16

Divide both sides by 2

2x/2=16/2\\x=8

Answer:

2x + 18 - 1 = 33 \\ 2x + 17 = 33 \\ 2x = 33 - 17 \\ 2x = 16 \\ (2x)/(2) = (16)/(2) \\ x = 8

hope this helps you...
