Pretend that you are a Texas resident in May 1919. Next month, the state legislature will vote on whether to approve the 19th

Amendment, which will give women the right to vote.
Write a letter to Senator Clark, who represents you in the Texas Legislature, explaining why you support or oppose women's
suffrage. The letter should be three paragraphs. The first paragraph should tell about you, the writer. The second paragraph
should state your position and give two solid reasons to support it. The third paragraph should say why women's suffrage
would be good or bad for the United States of America and should urge the senator to vote to yes or no on the amendment.
Make sure your letter includes the date and your signature.

Answer:

Dear Senator Clark,

My name is Bianca Moreno. I work at the high school of my town. Where every day I see strong and powerful woman. I am married to the well known Santiago Sanchez. I am a mother of one, her name is Ely. And I also own a bakery at my home town.

The reason for this letter was to state my opinion about the 19th Amendment. Before I began let me tell you I 100% support this idea. When I heard about it I was so happy that a opportunity like this could happen to us woman.

I encourage you to support this new amendment because of many reasons. First of all there are more people in the world, the world is not just full of men. Without the woman men would be lost and that why I think this is a great idea because it shows that both genders could be treated the same way. Also, the population would benefit of this because woman have such incredible ideas and if we have a vote to show what we really think and make the world, or at least our country better we should.

1919.

Bianca Moreno
