9. Wendy noticed that out of 345 cars that passed by her house 56 were

SUVs. About how many SUVs could she expect to see pass by if 2,100 cars
were to pass her house?

Answer:

The answer may be slightly off for a multiple choice question. but for fill in the blank, it should be fine to plur 340.83 as the answer

Explanation:

First you find the percentage of tye 1st event

That would be represented by "56 is what percentage of 345?"

to find this, divide 56 by 345, which is .1623

then multiply is by 100 which is 16.23

This says that 16.23 percent of the cars that passed by were SUVS.

Finally, find what 16.23 percent of 2100 would be.

divide 2100 by 100 which is 21. then multiply it by 16.23 which is 340.83.
