Answer:

  • An element consists of only one kind of atom, and cannot be broken down (physically or chemically) into any simpler form of matter, Elements exists as atoms (as is the case of Copper) or as molecules (e.g oxygen)
  • A compound is a combination of elements/atoms chemically combined in fixed ratios. Salt is formed by chemical reaction of sodium (Na) and chloride atom (Cl) = NaCl. Compounds have properties that are different from its component elements, and always contains the same ratio of its component atoms, which cannot be physically broken down.
  • Mixtures consists of two or more different elements and/or compounds mixed physically but not chemically (no chemical reaction/bond), can be separated into its components by physical means. As is the case of jelly beans, there isn't any fixed combination ratio, and it can be easily separated to the different types.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Elements are substances which have the same number of protein in it's Nucleic or the same atomic number.

Atomic number is the same as protein number. E.g Copper represented as Cu

Compounds are substances that are made up of two or more elements that are chemically combined together.

Examples is salt which contain two elements which are sodium and chloride. It is some how called sodium chloride

Mixture is a substance that is made up of two or more different substances that are physically combined together. Jelly bean is a mixture because it contain sugar, corn syrup, pectin or starch and some emulsifying agents that are mixed together physically.
