Help!!! Please!

shows the square-based pyramid ABCDE. The side length of the base is 96 m and the pyramid's height is 55 m. O is the centre of the square base, directly below E. M is the midpoint of AD. Use Pythagoras' theorem to find the length EM.

Answer:

EM = 73 m

Explanation:

Using the right triangle MOE

with legs MO = 48. EO = 55 and hypotenuse EM

Applying Pythagoras' identity

The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other 2 sides, that is

EM² = 48² + 55² = 2304 + 3025 = 5329 ( take the square root of both sides )

EM =
√(5329) = 73
