Explanation:

We add the red apples and the green apples to get a total of 50 apples. Since we want the result of the apple not being red we divide 20 (# of green apples) over the total (50 apples) which gets us 0.4.

Since we want a percent we multiply 0.4 by 100 to get 40% or 20/50
