Answer

y=1x+3

Explanation:

Find out what changes in this equation. The $3 doesn't change because that is the total cost of his party. The thing that changes in this equation is the $1 because we don't know how many people he's inviting. It could be any number. Now we have to represent the guests as x. So it would be 1x since it costs a dollar per guest he brings. The cost of the birthday doesn't change so it would just be y=1x+3. I hope this helps!

Answer:

y= 1x+3

Explanation:

The ground payment to Matt's party $3.

If you end up bringing additional people, you will need to bring an extra dollar for each person.

Example 1: If you intend to bring 5 extra people (six including you) you will use the equation y=1x+3, so, you will do:

1x5=5

5+3=8

8 will be your final answer.

Example 2: If you intend to bring 10 extra people (eleven including you) you will use the equation y=1x+3, so, you will do:

1x10=10

10+3=13

13 will be your final answer.

(I hope I'm not wrong...)
