Figurative language- a word or phrase that does not have its normal everyday, literal meaning.
ex: It's raining cats and dogs!( an idiom)
Verb- a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as hear, become, happen.
ex: Please stop running. (conveying action)
