\large\bf{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{Question}:}}}

The base and height of a triangle with base 12 in and the height 6 in are both tripled.

\large\bf{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{Solution}:}}}

It is given that,

:{\Longrightarrow{\small{\rm{The\:base\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:12}}}}

:{\Longrightarrow{\small{\rm{The\:height\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:6}}}}

And if both base and height get tripled then the base and height would be:

:{\Longrightarrow{\small{\rm{The\:base\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:3×12}}}}

{\therefore{\small{\rm{The\:new\:base\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:36}}}}

And,

:{\Longrightarrow{\small{\rm{The\:height\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:3×6}}}}

{\therefore{\small{\rm{The\:new\:height\:of\:a\:triangle\:=\:18}}}}

Answer:

Base=36

Height=18

Explanation:

To work this out you would first multiply 12 by 3, which gives you 36. Then you would multiply 6 by 3, which gives you 18.

1) Multiply 12 by 3.

12*3=36

2) Multiply 6 by 3.

6*3=18

3) Base=36

Height=18
