1. If we had two angles that are complementary and <1 = 55 degrees, what is the measure of the second angle?

Two angles are complementary if they sum to 90°. So, if one angle is 55, the other angle must be such that


55+x=90

Similarly, two angles are supplementary if they sum to 180°. So, if one angle is 10, the other angle must be such that


10+x=180
