Answer:

The area of a triangle is
A\Delta=(1)/(2)(base)(height)

So, the area of the given triangle is:

A\Delta=(1)/(2)(5)(6)\\A\Delta=(1)/(2)(30)\\A\Delta=15cm^2

The area of a rectangle is

A=(length)(width)\\A=(6)w\\A=6wcm^2

Once the area of both are the same:

6w=15\\w=(15)/(6) \\w=2.5cm
