The mass per unit area of a type of metal sheet is 3 kg per m2 .State the rate in g per 100 cm2​

If we start with


\frac{3\text{ kg}}{1\text{ m}^2}

we can convert the fraction recalling that


1\text{ kg}=1000\text{ g},\quad 1\text{ m}^2=10000\text{ cm}^2

So, we have


\frac{3\text{ kg}}{1\text{ m}^2} = \frac{3000\text{ g}}{10000\text{ cm}^2} =\frac{30\text{ g}}{100\text{ cm}^2}
