We simply substitute -1 into the given equation
6x-3(-1)=-15
We multiply negative three by negative one so that the equation becomes
6x+3=15
We move positive three to the other side as a negative number
6x=12
We divide both sides by six to get the value of x on its own
12/6 is 2.
Therefore, x is equal to two
