5. Why did the Jews have to turn in their belongings and valuables?

To keep Jews from escaping.
To keep Jews from spending their money.

I would say it’s the last answer . D. I would say this because the Germans took the Jews belongings like gold, money, jewelry, anything they had and they kept it to themselves so the Jews didn’t have anything valuable . Even their clothes.
