x-2y=-1

Explanation:

x + y = 5 -----> y = 5 - x

x - 2y = -1

x - 2(5 - x) = -1

x - 10 + 2x = -1

3x - 10 = -1

3x = 9

x = 3

(3) + y = 5

y = 2

Solution to this system: (3,2)

Ratio of y to x = 2:3
