Solution : -

Now , by splitting the middle term that is - 5 x :

`\longrightarrow \: 6x {}^(2) - 9x + 4x - 6`

Now , taking 3x and -2 as common :

`\longrightarrow \: 3x(2x - 3) + 2(2x - 3)`

So ,

`\longrightarrow \: ( 3x + 2 ) ( 2x - 3 )`

Therefore , factors are ,

• ( 3x + 2 )

• ( 2x - 3 )

In the question we have ask to find the sum of their factors . So adding them ,

• 3x + 2 + 2x - 3

• 5x - 1

Therefore , 5x - 1 is the sum of the factors .
