Alright let's solve this step by step:

Question 1: Find the perimeter of the base

  • Definition of Perimeter: is all the side length of the shapes added up

Perimeter = 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 11 + 11 = 58 km

Question 2: Height of Prism

  • Definition of height: is the distance from the base of the figure to the top base of the figure

Height = 4.3km

Question 3: Lateral Area

  • Definition of Lateral Area: area of nonbase face only

⇒ area of the two rectangles on the narrower side of the figure

⇒ plus the area of the pentagon on the wider side of the figure

  • Area of Pentagon

=
(1)/(2)(base1+base2)*height = (1)/(2) *(6 + 11) *4.3=36.55km^2

  • Area of Rectangle = 6 * 5 = 30 km^2

Total Area = 36.55 + 36.55 + 30 +30 = 133.1 km^2

Question 4: Find the area of the base

Area of the two bases = 6 * 6 + 6 * 11 = 36 + 66 = 102 km^2

Question 5: Find the surface area of the figure

  • Definition of the Surface Area: it is a measure of the total area that the surface of the object occupies

Surface Area = Lateral Area + Base area = 133.1 + 102 = 205.1 km^2

Hope that helps!
