Which expressions are equivalent to 6 + 12x ?

3(2 + 4x)
3(2 + 6x) + 2x

3(2 + 4x) = 6+ 12x

You have to multiply the number outside the parentheses with the numbers inside the parentheses

3(2 + 4x)

3 times 2 is 6

3 times 4x is 12x

=6+12
