I would choose either spinner because there is an equally likely probability to land on a greater number using either one. If you join the same numbers together on spinner 1 (all the 1's together, 2's together, and 3's together), the section they would make would be the same size as that same number section on spinner 2.

The probability of landing on a number greater than your friend on either spinner is equally likely. 1 and 2 on the first spinner are both 3/8 of the spinner and 3 is 2/8 which is the same ratios as the second spinner. The difference is that on spinner #1, the numbers are split up and spread out from each other (ex. 1,2,3,2,3,1), and in spinner #2 all the 1's, 2's, and 3's are together to make bigger looking chunks. The area of each number is the same on both spinners.
