4. Find the number of electrons transferred between two points kept at a potential difference of 20 V if 40 J of work is done​

Required answer :-

  • Number of electrons transferred are 1.25 × 10^19

Given :-

  • V = 20 Volt
  • W = 40 J

We know that,

↠ W = P × t

↠ W = V × I × t

↠ W = V × Q/t × t

W = V × Q

On substituting values, we get

↠ 40 = 20 × Q

↠ Q = 40/20

Q = 2 c

↠ ne = q

↠ n = q/e

↠ n = 2/ 1.6 × 10^- 19

n = 1.25 × 10^19

Hence,

  • Number of electrons transferred are 1.25 × 10^19
