Question : -

  • Find the value of x .

Given : -

  • Angle 1 = 44°

  • Angle 2 = 76°

  • Angle 3 = Not given we can assume it as y°

  • Angle 4 = x°

To Find : -

  • We have to find the value of x .

Concept : -

The concept of this question belongs to sum of internal angles of triangle and Linear pair of angles .

Solution : -

Firstly , we are finding value of angle y. So sum of Angle 1 , Angle 2 and Angle y is equal to 180° because sum of all angles of internal triangle is 180°. So :

  • 44° + 76° + y° = 180°

  • 120° + y° = 180°

  • y° = 180° - 120°

  • y° = 60°

Therefore , value of angle y is 60° .

Now , we are finding the value of x :

As we know angle 3 ( y ) and angle 4 ( x ) is equal to 180° because they form linear pair . So :

  • 60° + x° = 180°

  • x° = 180° - 60°

  • x° = 120°

Therefore, value of angle x is 120° .
