I will solve both ways

First we will apply BODMAS, I.e solve the bracket first

-(4 - 5)2 + 1

-(-1)2 + 1

So note that - × - = +

Then,

(-1 × -2) + 1

2 + 1 = 3

Let assume it is squared

-(4 - 5)² + 1

-(-1)² + 1

-(-1 × -1) + 1

-(1) + 1

-1 + 1

0

So the answer is 0
