To find the the coordinates of the point C after the dilation with a scale factor of 2 centered at the origin.

Formula:

The coordinate to dilate a factor of c from the origin is given by
(x,y) \rightarrow (cx,cy)

Therefore,

Applying the above rule for C(2,1) is dilated by scale factor of 2 centered at origin we get,


(2,1) \rightarrow (2(2),2(1))

After simplification we get,


(2,1) \rightarrow (4,2)

Hence,

The coordinate of C after dilation is (4,2).
