\theta) is:

2\pi r((\theta)/(360))

Now,

Putting,
r = 9, \theta = 120 ^\circ we get,


S = 2(\pi)(9)((120)/(360) )


S = 6\pi

Hence,

The length of the arc is
6\pi inches.
