Answer: VITAMIN A

Explanation: Vitamin A is an essential vitamin needed by the body but it is needed in small amount because it cannot be synthesized by the body.

It is fat soluble and gotten from fruits and green leafy vegetables,milk,orange,cereals,cod-liver oil and eggs.

Vitamin A plays a vital role in the growth and development of the body and body tissues as well as maintaining a normal vision and a healthy skin so when vitamin A is deficient in the body,it is evidenced by poor vision especially poor night vision,and there is also damage to the skin and mucous membranes.

There is also weakening of the body defense mechanism (immunity ad inability of the body to produce blood cells(hematopoiesis)

From the question,the relative is experiencing poor night vision,dryness of the skin and frequent cold which indicates a deficiency of VITAMIN A
